There are several considerations to take into account when resupplying for food, fuel and other amenities  on the Long Trail.  Compared with other long distance trails, the Long Trail is one of the easier trails to resupply on.  There are friendly businesses that will accept packages, a few good grocery stores, and the distance between towns is not to far.  This equals ->  less food to carry between sections, and if desired –  more frequent showers, pizza and ice cream.

While flexibility is a good virtue to have, proper resupply planning will go a long way.
